The show
Immersive theatre, living crime thriller, Roaring Twenties cabaret
For two hours, Château Descas becomes the stage of a murder at the heart of a cabaret party. Seven professional actors embody a gallery of suspects and witnesses. The plot unfolds among you — never facing a distant stage, always at the heart of the action.
You are a spectator — in the front row
Le dernier bal de Jean Descas is immersive theatre, not a role-playing game. You have no character to play, no secret objective, no lines to recite. You watch, you move, you investigate if you wish — but you remain a spectator throughout.
An alias, nothing more
On arrival, you're given a fictional 1920s first and last name. It's a simple convention to introduce yourself to characters if you wish to chat. You remain yourself, never stepping into a suspect's shoes.
Two rhythms, one plot

Major scenes — about 70% of the evening
At regular intervals, all characters and all spectators gather for the key moments: revelations, confrontations, murder, accusations. These major scenes blend acting, song, dance and burlesque. They carry the main plot and ensure everyone follows the story, even without moving around.

Free investigation — about 30% of the evening
Between these gatherings, the château opens up. You're free to move, follow whichever character intrigues you, witness more confidential scenes, or briefly exchange with the actors. The decisive clues often hide in these secondary scenes — the ones that will help you unmask the killer when it's time to vote. No one is required to interact: you can simply stay and watch.

The vote — and endings that change
The crime is officially presented before every spectator. You cross your clues, debate, vote for the killer. The actors then perform a different ending based on your verdict: the real culprit may be exposed, an innocent condemned, the murderer may escape… Every night keeps its share of unpredictability.
